The Acura Legend was first launched in 1986 along with the Acura Integra
Sports hatchback to introduce the Acura brand in America. The brand
was really co-developed in association with the British automaker Rover.
The Legend upon its intro to the market instantly turned into a hit
among the consumers and gained many positive reviews. The Honda Company
was successful in its try to combine its penchant for trustworthiness
and their experience in engines with further luxury features that was
infrequently seen in cars wearing the H badge. When the Honda Company
decided to drop the Legend name in favour of their new naming scheme,
there had been also a conspicuous drop in style and in keenness that
made a contribution to its success. The second generation Acura
Legend was first introduced in 1991 and was produced from 1991 thru
1995. The legend was fundamentally offered in LS and L trim levels.
Its core engine was V6 3.6 liter that can make 200 hp and 210 pound-feet
of torque. It was also mated to have an automated 4 speed or 5 speed
manual. In 1993 an upgraded was taken that jumped from 200hp to 230hp
and also made an upgrade in the manual transmission to a six-speed.
the original Acura Legend which was a lot smaller was produced from
1986 thru 1990. It was freely available in Coupe and Sedan body style.
This legend offers a fit, finish controls which is the high point of
the legend. The majority of the switches in this model including the
buttons and controls radiate electrifying quality. Re safety, the
legend is supplied with anti-lock brakes and with passenger and driver
side air bags. The inside size of the auto is also noticeably adequate
but can still give passengers a comfortable rear ride. The autos build
quality is also faultless and the paint finish is superbly smooth.
